About Us!

We are looking to promote this honor society and provide information for the benefits students could recieve. We are very involved in our school and community. NAHS is an organization that recognizes excellence in the art field. The National Art Honor Society was established in 1978 in the United States by the National Art Education Association for high school students grades 10-12, for "the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art."

How to Join

You need to meet these
requirements to join

  • Grades 10th-12th
  • Must have art 1 & 2
    credits completed
  • Once in NAHS...

  • Attend 85% of
    weekly meetings(Tuesdays)
  • 15 hours of community service
  • Pay a membership fee of $8

Benefits

  • Recognition: Gain eligibility for national recognition through awards, grants, and a National Art Honor Society Chapter!
  • Member students are eligible to apply to the Charles M. Robertson Memorial Scholarship, a special four-year scholarship to the Pratt Institute's School of Art and Design in New York.
  • Members and their school art program are eligible for several awards and grant programs
  • If you are in NAHS for two years, you can receive an honor cord for senior graduation.
